<P><b>MADISON, Wisconsin</b> — It was just four years ago that <a href="https://www.mtv.com/music/artist/diplo/artist.jhtml">Diplo</a> put his production prowess on full display with M.I.A.'s mega-hit <a href="https://www.mtv.com/videos/mia/195024/paper-planes.jhtml">"Paper Planes."</a> Since then, the DJ/producer has become a go-to producer for major acts like Usher, whose latest single, R&B jam "Climax," features work from the Philadelphia native. </P><P> </P><P>On Tuesday, MTV News hit up the first stop on the campus-themed <a href="https://newsroom.mtv.com/2012/03/28/diplo-chiddy-bang-axe-one-night-only-tour">AXE One Night Only Tour</a> in Wisconsin, and we caught up with the headlining DJ to talk about his upcoming projects. </P><P> </P><P>"We got really luck on that one," he said of the track from Usher's upcoming album. "We just had great chemistry. I was super-nervous working with him the first two days. ... The way we did it, it was just a super-open format. He was down to do whatever we were excited about. </P><P> </P><P>"I love Usher," Diplo gushed. "I'm an Usher fan. I love him for records like 'Confessions Pt. II' and 'Burn,' those are some of the first R&B records from my generation that are still lasting forever. And we did some uptempo stuff too. I don't know what'll make the album, but I think there are definitely three songs that'll make it." </P><P> </P><P>Diplo is currently involved with a number of projects and luckily he was willing to dish. After working last summer with <a href="/news/articles/1670849/no-doubt-album-release.jhtml">No Doubt on their upcoming record</a>, the producer revealed he had good news to share. </P><P> </P><P>"We just finished. I was actually in Jamaica last month and I went in and did some extra stuff on that record," he told us. "I'm super-excited. It's probably going to be a single for their album. They've been [tweeting] about the song, so they're excited about it. I think it's going to be a 'No Doubt featuring Major Lazer' record, because we were producers, and there's another artist on it, too, that we recorded in Jamaica. </P><P> </P><P>"But you'll have to wait," Diplo warned, "I don't know how far off that record is, but every song I've heard is a bona-fide hit. ' </P><P> </P><P>The superstar DJ also recently took to his Facebook page and casually mentioned that he's already started production on 18 tracks for a record with <a href="https://www.mtv.com/music/artist/snoop_dogg/artist.jhtml">Snoop Dogg</a>. </P><P> </P><P>"Snoop Dogg is an icon, man; he's bigger than the music," Diplo said. "What we're doing is a reggae record. It's like Snoop Dogg and Major Lazer together. It's all reggae and he's singing and he's doing a f---ing awesome job and I never knew it, but he had his heart in every song. ... We're going to get back into the production of it next month, and I'm really proud of that record. It's the first record I've ever executive-produced and his crew is amazing. </P><P></p>Related Artists

'I don't think it's serious. I think it's too soon,' Khloé Kardashian tells Bravo's 'Watch What Happens Live' of Kim and Kanye's romance.
By Rob Markman, with reporting by Felicia 'The Poetess' Morris
On Saturday afternoon, the new (or maybe not so new) couple was spotted strolling through New York City. Kanye was all smiles as the paparazzi caught them enjoying the spring weather, Kim with an ice cream cone in hand. Later that evening, the pair was spotted in Manhattan's Spice Market, and Kim took Yeezy to dine with the rest of the Kardashian clan. Kim was then photographed yet again wearing 'Ye's initials on her lobes with subtle "K W" earrings.
Kim's sister Khloé appeared on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live" on Sunday and dished on the lovebirds. "I don't think it's serious. I think it's too soon," Khloé said of her sister and Kanye's relationship.
Kanye and Kim have been friends for a number of years, something that Khloé admires. "Because they're friends for so long, it's so easy," she said of the new power couple. "That's something that I love seeing about Kim, the easiness and how happy she is. It's just more of a great friendship and friendships make the best relationships."
With the next season of "Keeping up With the Kardashians" set to premiere on May 20, everyone is wondering if the multiplatinum rapper/producer will be making an appearance. Not if he doesn't want to, says the reality show star. "No one has to be on camera, it's not like we're driven to slavery," Khloé said. "Everyone has the option, except for us."
Things started to heat up, publicly at least, after Yeezy dropped his single "Way Too Cold" at the top of the month. In the song's lyrics he professes his love for Kim, and the two have been seen gallivanting around NYC ever since.Related Artists
'I am very honored to have been asked to play this role,' Lohan says of the Lifetime movie 'Liz and Dick.'
By Kara Warner
After a few months of will-she-or-won't-she debate as to whether Lindsay Lohan would actually appear in a made-for-TV biopic about Elizabeth Taylor, we finally have confirmation that she will officially take on the role of the Hollywood icon in the Lifetime movie "Liz and Dick."
According to the network's official announcement obtained by Deadline, the story will revolve around the torrid and headline-grabbing romance between the blue-eyed beauty and Hollywood leading man Richard Burton. The two megastars were the original Brangelina, and their tempestuous relationship was the most infamous celebrity love affair of its day.
"I have always admired and had enormous respect for Elizabeth Taylor," Lohan said in the statement. "She was not only an incredible actress but an amazing woman as well. I am very honored to have been asked to play this role."
This isn't the first time Lohan has portrayed a legend. She's done a few Hollywood pinup-inspired photos, including her Marilyn Monroe-esque photo shoot for Playboy, which garnered record sales when she graced the cover.
"We are thrilled Lindsay will portray beloved Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor," Rob Sharenow, executive vice president of programming for Lifetime Networks, said in a statement. "She is one of the rare actresses who possesses the talent, beauty and intrigue to capture the spirit of such a provocative icon."
Principal photography on the movie will begin in early June in Los Angeles.Related Photos
'Phil Collins,' 'Lucky One' star deadpans to MTV News.
By Kara Warner
In a discussion of the finer aspects of the recently released romantic drama "The Lucky One" with stars Zac Efron and Taylor Schilling, one of the most entertaining subjects to come up revolved around prolific romance author Nicholas Sparks, author of the novel upon which the film is based. Specifically, we wondered whether Efron and Schilling had ever experienced any Sparks-like fantasy romance scenarios in real life.
"I'm sure I've said some of those lines," Efron admitted to MTV News. "They're probably worse — not as good as the ones [Sparks has] written, but they were excellent in the moment."
"I'm sure they were great," Schilling offered. "I'm sure they worked in the moment."
"I feel like they were good," Efron said with a smile.
"It's about the right moment," Schilling added, referring to the fact that there's a perfect time and place for romantic gestures. "There have been a few sweeping gestures [in my life] but what means the most to me are the little things from the heart. There have been a few notes and well-timed flowers that mean more than anything else."
"Every once in a while when you look into each other's eyes and that music starts playing, I love that," Efron joked, which prompted us to ask a follow-up question about which song you should play when trying to set the mood.
"That's a good question. What would be your song that you would play?" Schilling asked Efron. "I have no answer."
"Phil Collins," Efron deadpanned, which sent his co-star into a fit of giggles.
"That's great!" she said, laughing. "That's a good blanket artist. It's a great answer."
"I think so," Efron said.
We can just picture it now, Efron and a very lucky lady about to lock lips with Collins' classics "In the Air Tonight" or "Against All Odds" playing in the background.
Check out everything we've got on "The Lucky One."
